How to take care of your sled

Care advice

Each sled has its own life, and over the years there are usually a few scratches here and there that tell of exciting trips in the woods and fields. Some of our customers have never needed to repair their sleds, despite using them for over 20 years. While others who ride longer and heavier need to replace wear parts regularly.

Wear and tear

Check the sled before and after each season. Wear parts such as guide rails, runners and towing eyes may need to be replaced if they are visibly worn or broken and affect function. Sometimes other parts such as the pendulum arms, platform bottom, box or canopy also need to be replaced if they have been damaged. Most spare parts are in stock with us and can be easily ordered via our webshop.

Storage

Snowmobile sleds can withstand outdoor use. The steel chassis of the sled is treated against corrosion by hot-dip galvanizing, while the flatbed and transport frame are made of film-coated, moisture-resistant plywood. The plastic forges and canopies can also withstand both UV rays and weather changes. During the summer, we would like you to store the toboggan under cover, as this season puts more wear on the materials.

Recycling and recovery

We make sleds to last for generations and we’re grateful that by buying our products you’re contributing to a better environment. Take care of your sled so it lasts as long as possible, replace with new parts when necessary and recycle the old ones. You can order spare parts on our website. If something on your sled breaks, you are welcome to come to us for repair.
